PSA 1v1 Tournament Rules

Number of Participants:

  • 16 Players is the max number of players who can register and participate in the tournament

Admission

  • $75 Dollars to participate in the 1v1 tournament
  • Each Player will be given a wrist band, and a number will be written on it.
  • Players may wear cleats or flats (indoor soccer shoes)/ Shin guards are optional
  • ALL PLAYERS must fill out a waiver form with Performance Indoor Training (PIT) before participating in the 1v1 tournament.

Rules

  • The tournament will be Double Elimination
  • First to 2 goals or 2-minute games, (If game is tied at the end of the 2 minutes a sudden death pk shootout will commence, 3 shots each. If it is still tied after 3 shots each, then the spot kick will move back 3 yards every shot.
  • Final match: First to 3 goals (No time limit)
  • 2 fields (Winner & Loser side) (30 matches total) including the final match
  • Age group 12-15 years old (If 9-11 years old have an age group we will use 4 fields)
  • Players will Rock, Paper, Scissor to see who starts with ball. Players will switch off possessions until time expires, or first to 2 goals. If there is a foul the ball will be checked back up at the starting point. Each possession will start at the starting point. If the keeper is to make a save, whether they catch the ball or parry it away the ball will change possession, and restart at the starting point.
  • When a player loses their first match a line will be drawn across their wristband with a permanent marker to signify, they have 1 life left. If a player loses 2 matches their wristband will be taken from them, and they will be eliminated from the tournament.
  • If a player wins their first match, they will be moved to the winner’s bracket side with all players who have won their first match. If you lose your first match at any point you will be moved to the loser’s bracket where you will play all players that have 1 loss to their record. If you win out in the loser’s bracket, then you will play the winner of the winner’s bracket in the Championship game. If the winner of the winner’s bracket wins the Championship game the tournament will be over, however if the winner from the loser’s bracket wins the game, then another game will have to be played as it’s a double elimination tournament.

PRIZE

  • The winner of the 1v1 tournament will be given $150 dollars for prize money

Performance Indoor Training reserves the right to modify league rules at their discretion and will update the website accordingly in the best interest of our guests. The Tournament Director will have the final decision on any suspensions, rule discrepancies, or controversial issues that may arise during or after play.
