League Rules - Youth 9v9

Conform to IFAB Laws of the Game unless otherwise stated:

Rosters:

  • All teams competing in the Youth 9v9 Leagues must be formed outside of our facility (Individual players will not be registered or placed on any teams competing in our league).
  • Maximum Roster size is 21.
  • Dual-Rostering is allowed.
  • Players may register to play up, but cannot play down.

Game structure

  • The match will consist of two equal 30-minute halves, with a 5 minute break.
  • Free kicks may be direct or indirect.
  • Off-Side calls are determined at the midfield line.
  • Each game should have two referees. Referee fees are included in team fee.

game day Procedures

  • Each player will need to check-in at the front desk to receive a wristband.  Players will only need to check-in one time per day.
  • Referees will verify that all players have wristbands before kickoff. Players without a wristband will be sent off the field until they receive one from the front desk.
  • Referees may start the clock but will not allow kickoff until there are at least 7 players from each team.

player safety

  • No sliding allowed.
  • No headers allowed for U11 & under.

Substitutions

  • Substitutions are unlimited during the games and are made at any stoppage of play. Referees must be informed when the substitutions are being made.

Equipment

  • All players must have a same shade jersey as their team.
  • All players must wear shin guards that are covered by socks.
  • Players will be sent off the field if they have a shin guard violation until they have the proper gear.
  • Age groups U9-U12 will use size 4 ball. U13 and above will use size 5 ball.

Player Membership

  • Players must have a valid Player ID on their account to play. Guest players are also required to have a Player ID.
  • Player IDs are $25 and last for one year. New Player IDs can be purchased online or from the front desk (Frisco).

Weather

  • Our inclement weather policy can be found here.
  • Some instances of weather will result in changes to half duration or break frequency. These can be determined by League Director, facility staff, or referees.

Performance Indoor Training reserves the right to modify league rules at their discretion and will update the website accordingly in the best interest of our guests. The League Director will have the final decision on any suspensions, rule discrepancies, or controversial issues that may arise during or after play.
